I don't know how, but for some reason my computer and my tablet stopped talking to each other when I came back from California. I tried reinstalling the drivers and nothing happened. Dad tried reinstalling the drivers, and I had brief "functionality" (the mouse would respond to movement, though it froze up every couple seconds) for a while. After having put compy to sleep and gone upstairs, however, it's back to being completely busted.
I am rather frustrated. Adesso sucks, at least for the Mac. Their drivers are ugly and broken, their website is poorly designed, and their tablet is incompatible with Photoshop (well, CS2, which of course was the version we got...). The tablet functioned alright earlier this semester, and GIMP was sufficient for my needs. But now... If we don't get these issues resolved by the time I go off to Philadelphia, I may have to do all the illustrations by hand. Which would then NOT constitute "digital imaging" and probably not count for Media Studies credit. (Also, it'd be bloody inconvenient.)
Someday I will be able to afford a Wacom...
EDIT: I am an idiot. The battery in the tablet pen was dead. Problem solved...even if I still can't use Photoshop.
